Joe & Charlie - (Alcoholics Anonymous) App Reviews

Ive been in recovery for 11 years and am learning so much.. regardless of whether or not its the "real" Joe/Charlie. All I know is that Im fascinated listening to these two guys explain the history and steps of AA in a way Ive never heard it before. I LOVE how they play off each other, and its never boring! I just drove 7 hrs from Palm Springs to San Francisco, and the drive flew by as I listened to these two. The actual audio recording was done in 1998, probably by non-professional audio techs, and the sound quality reflects that.. but the message is still worth it and more. Although its not AA-sanctioned, its still well worth anyones time who wants to strengthen their program, learn more about the disease of alcoholism (addiction), or work the AA program the way the big book intended for us to.

Those interested in the concepts and history of AA will not be disappointed.

A classic one to have & listen to anytime either in the car or home. Great!

Excellent. I listen almost every night. My mom (also an AA) has been telling me about joe & Charlie since the day I got sober. I wish we still had old timers like these around. Im glad they are hear on tape/ in spirit. Highly recommended.

It helped me so much in recovery, it really digs into the book an explains everything, and adds a little bit more to the book , great app very well worth it !

Only one segment of MANY works. No help from the creators. They dont even respond. I asked for a refund and they wont respond to that request either. These people are stealing money! A TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

I really love Joe & Charlie! Great Big Book study- comforting to listen to at night for me when needing to fall asleep. I have listened to these speakers on the free website and treat like at a actual Big Book study - Big Book open, highlighter and notes. You will grow if you do the work. They are dear friends available discretely with earphone/buds or like me late night listener for winding down day. Worth the money.

I went to see Joe and Charlie speak in Laughlin, Nevada with my sponsor around 1995 and 96. They helped me so much with the Steps and I love listening to their recordings now. They stick to the Basic Text, our Big Book and really show How it Works!! This is great for anyone new in sobriety, trying to get sober or those with many years! Love them and sure you will too. I am so grateful to have this in-depth Big Book study on my phone. I do wish there were some way on the app to keep track of which segments Ive listened to and where I left off on each and better bookmarking functions.

This app does not work at all, 100% failure! The owner is a thief and does not support technical problems and does not return emails.

This app is snake oil. No content is loaded, you have to manually download, and for me the downloads failed every time I tried. Total waste of time and money. DO NOT get this app. MAJOR BUGS.

I truly loved seeing Joe & Charlie and Willie B. who did the 12/12 study in person. I went to see them a few times in Sacramento, California Labor Day weekend. These guys taught me the truth about AA. All BS put aside. All my sponsees today have J&C on there iPhone. They never got to see them in person, but I make sure I continue to carry the message they carried, AA big Book. God Bless AA.
